Vi Foundation Celebrates Children’s Day with 2nd Edition of – India Education | Latest Education News | World Education News


Children are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow. To celebrate the children on Children’s Day, Vi Foundation, the CSR arm of Vi, held a special event to release the second edition of the book “ViR ki Kahaniyaan” and congratulate the children for their academic excellence and their extracurricular achievements. The book is a compilation of real-life stories of children from the Vi Foundation’s various social impact programs. In addition, the Vi Foundation also unveiled the book “Chalo Meri Story Padhe”, which is a collection of community stories.

The book ‘ViR ki Kahaniyaan’ and ‘Chalo Meri Story Padhe’ were published by Anurag Maloo, entrepreneur, mountaineer and global advocate of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in the presence of P Balaji, Director of Regulatory Affairs and the company, VIL, and director, Vi Foundation; and Dr. Nilay Ranjan, director of the Vi Foundation.

The book “ViR ki Kahaniyaan” promises to take its readers on the journeys of children from diverse backgrounds who have overcome difficulties and pursued their dreams. It shows how the Vi Foundation has leveraged technology to empower children to excel in their studies and help teachers follow their passion and creatively impart knowledge. Addressing the audience at the virtual event, actor and talk show host Mukesh Khanna said, “The future of our country depends on the children of today. “Gurushala” is a knowledge sharing and exchange platform that enables thousands of teachers and students to upload and access materials for student learning and development anywhere and anytime. In addition, the Vi Foundation’s flagship program “Jigyasa” aims to build teacher capacity, introduce digital content, training tools and innovative pedagogy to make learning and teaching more enjoyable, and to augment existing infrastructure if necessary. The Vodafone Idea Teachers Scholarship Program provides support to teachers for online learning infrastructure such as laptops, online courses, etc.
