Aligarh: The University Women’s Polytechnic, AMU organized a three-day “Mega Workshop” of Pidilite on the theme; “LET’S BE CREATIVE.” It was organized to provide a platform for students to channel their creative potential.
Ms. Shahana Anjum (expert teacher, Pidilite) resource person, spoke about the exciting skills related to fashion and interior design; including fluid art, antique looking ceramic pot decoration, lamp design, die-cut clay plate for jewelry display, different textures on fabric using salt and clay jewelry.
Dr. Salma Shaheen, (Principal, University Women’s Polytechnic spoke about the countless opportunities after learning creative arts and skills. She also informed that Polytechnic has implemented learning activities that encourage students to explore their creativity from relevant, interesting and useful way with commercial viability.
Dr. Sheeba Manzoor (Lead) in her welcome address outlined the objectives of the program.
Costume Design and Garment Technology Diploma students; The Interior Decoration Higher Diploma and Secretarial Practice Diploma participated in the workshop, and their designed and developed fashionable items were exhibited.
During the farewell function, the results were announced, where Ms. Sidra Bilal won the first prize and Ms. Aashi Sharma won the second prize. On this occasion all the articles were displayed and e-certificates were distributed.
Ms. Sadia Naim (co-organizer) Ms. Fauzia Khan (coordinator) and Ms. Ikra Salim (organizing secretary) jointly conducted the inaugural ceremony and coordinated all sessions.
