Realme previously told India Today Tech that it would launch its robotic vacuum cleaner in India around Diwali.
STRONG POINTS
- Realme has confirmed that it brings a washing machine around Diwali.
- Realme previously asked India Today Tech to expand into more product categories.
- Realme’s washing machine may be aggressively priced.
Realme announced the GT 5G flagship phone, GT Master Edition design phone and Realme Book Slim laptop in India on Wednesday earlier this week. It was one of the significant events for Realme as it marks the company’s foray into this year’s premium market, as well as the PC market. Laptops are one of the few categories in which Realme wants to expand in the coming years. Under its Realme TechLife brand, the company focuses on products that make up a robust ecosystem, and soon part of that will be a washing machine.
Madhav Sheth, CEO of Realme India and Europe, has confirmed that the company will soon launch “washing machines and other white goods” under the Realme TechLife brand. This is going to be a new product category for Realme, which now wants to tackle brands such as Samsung and LG. Realme said washing machines will arrive this Diwali.

Sheth’s confirmation is consistent with what he told me earlier this year. Realme wants to create an ecosystem where it wants to enter each product category. Realme has already launched products such as a beard trimmer, hair dryer and robot vacuum cleaner. While the first products are already available in India, the robot vacuum is coming ahead of Diwali, as India Today Tech exclusively announced earlier this year. Now that at least two products from Realme are likely to arrive around Diwali, the company may be gearing up for a big reveal of its massive AIoT lineup in India.
Features and specs of the Realme washing machine aren’t available at this time, but a preview of it that Sheth showed off at the event hints at a front-loading washing machine. Front-loading washing machines usually come with a hefty price tag, but given that Realme works on them, we can see an aggressive price tag for them. I guess Realme may be planning to launch their front-loading washing machine at the price of a top-loading washing machine, which is very affordable.
Realme’s TechLife already has the Dizo brand, but the company wants to continue its own products with the company’s brand. At this time, it is unknown whether the washing machine will carry the Dizo brand, the Realme brand or the logo of another brand that will run under Realme TechLife. But whatever the case, Realme’s washing machine is very likely to support the Realme Link app, through which certain functions can be controlled on a smartphone. Details, however, are not known at this point.
