Pepperfry, the leading e-commerce furniture and homeware company, today announced the appointment of Nishant Kumar as Vice President and National Head of Studios. Nishant will spearhead the expansion of Pepperfry’s studio footprint across the country. His appointment is effective immediately and he will be based at Pepperfry’s office in Mumbai.
Omnichannel is a very big strategy for the brand and Pepperfry Studios is a key touchpoint with consumers. The company has the largest omnichannel footprint in India with over 180 studios in over 90 cities. Nishant comes to Pepperfry with 21 years of experience in sales, business strategy, financial planning, operations and zonal planning. During his previous stint at Vodafone-Idea, Nishant managed an ecosystem of 2,700 retail stores. At Pepperfry, all regional studio managers will now report to Nishant Sharma. He holds a postgraduate degree in marketing from Welingkar Institute of Management and a bachelor’s degree in hotel management from IHMCTAN, Kolkata.

Pepperfry Studios are experience centers that provide customers with first-hand experience of an endless catalog of furniture and home products. It allows them to make the right purchase decision by exploring different types of wood, materials, colors and fabric samples. The company is deploying in-house data science capabilities at the PIN level to design Studio’s expansion strategy. Pepperfry Studios operates in two formats – COCO (corporate owned and operated) and FOFO (franchise owned and franchise operated). All Pepperfry studios are located in prominent locations in the respective cities.
