BANDIPORA: The Bandipora Health Department organized a training day on the Hospital Management Information System (HMI) on Saturday.
The training program was chaired by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Mr. Ashraf Hakak. Bandipora’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bashir Ahmad Khan was also present on the occasion.
The program was attended by the Bandipora district immunization officer, district doctors and paramedics and aimed to train health officials to move from manual data recording to a hospital management information system ( HMI).
The training was delivered by HMI Master Trainer Vijay.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said the program aims to benefit healthcare professionals to ensure delivery of healthcare services to the satisfaction of patients. He said that HMI will make the health care delivery system holistic.
Hakak said the HMI system is a time-saving technology with improved efficiency by avoiding human error. HMI improves patient care and reduces documentation work, he added.
Addressing the gathering, the CMO said that HMI is a computer system that helps manage healthcare information efficiently.
He said that HMI provides a solution to the complications of managing all the paperwork of each patient associated with the various hospital departments in complete confidentiality.
CMO urged the general public to successfully cooperate in the implementation of the HMI system.
