Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) celebrated its 14th founding day on September 8, 2022. During the celebrations, faculty members, alumni and students of IIIT-Delhi commemorated the academic and research excellence of recent years.
IIIT-Delhi organized a host of activities as part of its Foundation Day celebration. The day began with a noble cause of blood donation and a mass planting campaign to plant 1,000 trees in and around campus. An occasional public lecture was also organized on campus by Dr. Chayanika Shah, an independent queer feminist researcher, pedagogue and retired physics professor from Mumbai. She spoke at length about “Inclusive STEM Education: Who Benefits”. On occasion, faculty, officers and support staff members were also recognized for their various achievements and contributions throughout the year. For the first time, IIIT-Delhi also congratulated three former members with the Young Alumni award.
There was also a Dean’s List award, given by the Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean of Innovation, Research and Development, Dean of Student Affairs, Dean of Communications and Alumni Affairs . The event witnessed student-led cultural performances that concluded with the release of sky lanterns.
