Candidates wishing to enroll in the program must be over the age of 18 and have passed the 10th class. However, those who are already in the export business can also register.

Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII), Chennai is ready to host a webinar on export and import procedures and documentation. The main idea for hosting this webinar is to offer comprehensive guidance and useful basic skills to accelerate the Export-Import business.

The webinar will be held from August 24 to 26, 2022 for a duration of two hours from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The venue for this webinar is EDII, Parthasarathy Koil Street, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Ekkaduthangal, Chennai – 600 032.

Applicants who are 18 years of age and have completed their registration are eligible for registration. However, those who already have an export business are also eligible to apply for this program.

The press that was released highlighted the vision for conducting the webinar. According to this, India as a country has a very high export potential. The reason is that the size of businesses in the country has been growing rapidly.

Candidates participating in this webinar will learn the basics of licensing procedures, international trade, identifying potential products for export, processing and negotiating an export order, rules international marketing, knowledge of importers and markets and product classification with its harmonized system codes.

Apart from this, candidates will also learn about topics like India’s foreign trade policy, export finance, incentives for exporters and export promotion programs through this training program. Those already working in the export business in a small or large capacity can also enroll in this program.

The Tamil Nadu state government is very keen on its export policy. The reason is that the state contributes 11.5% of the country’s total exports, with Chennai leading the districts. However, the state government is ready to become the top exporting state. Therefore, it has taken several steps to elevate its export domain.

Earlier this year, the government signed a memorandum of understanding worth INR 2120.54 crore to uplift its MSMEs in the export sector. Moreover, the government plans to achieve a target of $100 billion in export value by 2030. That is why CM MK Stalin has published a handbook on Tamil Nadu’s export promotion policy.
