BANDIPORA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad today chaired the District Level Coordinating Committee (DLCC) meeting to endorse the provisional results of the 7th Economic Census.

The meeting was attended by Joint Planning Director Imtiyaz Ahmad, Director General DIC Bandipora, Deputy Development Commissioner, Bandipora District Statistics and Assessment Officer, Panchayat District Officer and other senior officials. district officials.

The committee discussed the provisional results of the 7th Economic Census released by the Ministry of Statistics and Plan Implementation (MoSPI). The meeting thoroughly discussed the provisional results of the meeting and all Committee members expressed satisfaction with these provisional results.

Subsequently, the results were approved and the certificate of completion issued accordingly. The meeting was informed that the economic census is the complete count of establishments located in the district.

Officials informed that the 7th Economic Census provides information on the aggregation of various economic activities / occupations in different locations.

It was reported that all households / establishments engaged in non-agricultural economic activities, including construction, except public administration, defense and compulsory social security, were covered in the 7th economic census.

“CSE-Common Service Centers (e-governance) formed under the supervision of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technologies has been selected as the implementing agency for the conduct of field work for the economic census . However, the S12 supervision of 8 percent of the data collected by the enumerators was carried out by the district statistics and assessment offices through a mobile application linked to the 7th CE.
