DDC Chairman Attends Closing Day of ‘Multimedia Expo’ – India Education | Latest Education News | World Education News

POONCH: The Chairman of the District Development Council, Poonch, Tazeem Akhter today attended the closing ceremony of the 3-day sensitization program “Multimedia Exhibition” organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, J&K under the umbrella of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

The sensitization program was organized with the aim of generating mass awareness regarding the ongoing campaign of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” by the bureau. The 3-day multimedia exhibition was opened by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Dr. Basharat Hussain on August 27, 2022.

During her address, the President said that this exhibit depicts India’s long history of freedom of movement and is more attractive in a unique way. While appreciating the effort of CBC Jammu, she said Poonch district is a seat of talent and such Indian government programs provide them with a platform to show it off.

She urged the office to continue such outreach programs in the border district of Poonch in the future. Speaking on the occasion, Khalid Hussain, Program Manager, ICDS Poonch delivered a speech on the various programs of the ICDS department and the benefits for the poor masses.

Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, Field Office, Udhampur presented an overview, structure and functioning of CBC, J&K during the event. He said CBC is committed to raising awareness in rural, remote and media gray areas regarding the Indian government’s social welfare programs.

Dr. Tanveer Malik, District Program Coordinator, Ayushman Bharat, Poonch presented a detailed overview of the Ayushman Bharat scenario in Poonch district. He sought cooperation from various circles to achieve one hundred percent realization of Ayushman Bharat plans in Poonch district.

During the second day of the exhibition, Deputy Commander, CRPF, 72 BN Poonch was the chief guest. The program was also attended by paramilitary forces, teachers, students from various schools in Poonch.

Others present at the event were Gurnaam Singh, Incharge CBC Field Office, Rajouri, Rajesh Sharma, Incharge CBC, Field Office, Doda, Teachers, representatives from the Department of Health, District Industries Center, Poonch and of the font.

During the event, drawing/painting contest, open quiz contest, patriotic songs, on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav were also held to raise awareness about these components and motivate the masses to be part of these campaigns.

CBC, Regional Bureau, Jammu installed informative displays on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to raise awareness. Cultural programs showcasing the significance of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations captivated the audience.
