Bangalore (Karnataka) [India], May 1 (ANI): Canadian performance clothing brand Lululemon Athletica has announced the launch of the India Technology Hub, its first such center outside of North America.
This will help expand the company’s capabilities and infrastructure to enable and support global growth. Lululemon plans to hire around 250 technologists for the center by 2022.
“Acquiring and training the best technologists is essential to our global growth strategy focused on product innovation, omni customer experiences and market expansion,” said Calvin McDonald, President and CEO.
“The opening of our India Technology Hub will help advance our strategic growth plan through technology, empowering both our employees and our customer experience as we grow to serve new customers around the world. “
The center will help drive innovation in the marketing technology stack, data science, machine learning and full-stack cloud engineering to support merchandise planning, product information management and location, trade and network planning.
Scheduled to start operations by August, the company is taking all necessary health and safety precautions to prepare for the launch, and has said it is ready to open when it can safely do so.
