BITSoM launches BEACON – A festival of ideas – India Education | Latest Education News | Global education news


Mumbai: BITSoM, the Mumbai-based new age business school, today announced its first Ideas Festival for January 2022. The festival aims to be a strategic platform for business leaders, academics and entrepreneurs to discuss, reflect and reimagine the future. Designed in partnership with Founding Fuel, a new age media and learning company, it will span four weekends in January with a distinctive, interactive and immersive experience – complete with networking fairs, student booths and asynchronous engagement opportunities.

In its inaugural edition, the festival will attract leaders not only from the world of management but also from sport and entertainment. They will share their lessons from the pandemic, opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship, and their perspectives for a sustainable and technological future.

Some of the speakers include Naushad Forbes, co-chair, Forbes Marshall; Viswanathan Anand, five-time world chess champion; Geoffrey Garrett, Dean, USC Marshall School of Business; Leena Chatterjee, professor of organizational behavior at BITSoM; Deep Kalra, President, Make My Trip and Shankar Mahadevan, singer, songwriter and founder, Shankar Mahadevan Academy. Other festival speakers will include authors, business leaders and academics from BITSoM and London Business School.
