Azure Power commissions its 600 MW SECI project – CRN

Azure Power has announced the successful commissioning of its largest 600 MW Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) connected solar project, awarded by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The project is in Bikaner, Rajasthan and electricity generated from the project will be supplied to SECI at a tariff of INR 2.53 (~3.5 US cents) per kWh for 25 years. It is the largest solar power project in India, owned and operated at one location by any developer.

Azure Power commissioned this project in phases, with the last 100 MW commissioned this month. Following this, Azure Power has 2,510 MW of high-performance operational solar assets spread across the country.
