AHD Kishtwar Hosts Series of Awareness Camps in Kishtwar – India Education | Latest Education News | World Education News


KISHTWAR: A series of awareness camps were organized by the Kishtwar Livestock Department under SCA at SCSP (Special Central Assistance to Scheduled Caste Sub Plan), here across the district on Friday. The camps were held at Anjol village (Thakrie), Ayar village (Trigam) Neeju, Drabshalla block, Ladder village and Matti (Padder block).

More than 400 breeders, including a large number of women, participated in these camps.

Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sen, Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO), was the main campaigner for the event, accompanied by Dr. Arif Shah (MVO Kishtwar) as well as veterinary assistant surgeons and other center staff concerned.

The CAHO, in addition to other field officials, educated the local area public about the department’s diets and the benefits of disease vaccination. They advised the public to ensure the vaccination of healthy animals to protect them against different diseases.

The local public was also informed about the benefits of frozen semen technology for breeding (artificial insemination), which is the highlight and important pillar of the breeding department.

They were asked to take advantage of the installation of frozen semen technology at nearby veterinary artificial insemination centers.

To stimulate the local milk production of their animals, members of the Schedule Caste community received free medicines, mineral mixes, calcium supplements, deworming in addition to vaccinations and general treatment.

They were also educated on the various beneficiary schemes of the Department like KCC, livestock insurance etc. People were asked to cooperate and benefit from various schemes of the Department.

The Public Representative of the Villages appreciated the efforts of the Department to raise the socio-economic status of the public.
